Dye Sublimation is a process used to dye your custom artwork into fabrics for banners, flags and much more. We print the image digitally on a heat resistant transfer paper and then take that printed paper to a roll-to-roll heat press to transfer the image onto the chosen fabric. Products we sublimate include table throws, podium drapes, fabric banners, open flags, teardrop flags, tall feather flags, school milestone banners, sports "run-through" banners and much more. Check out the 18 foot by 18 foot fabric "stage backdrop" we recently produced. There are three horizontal heatsealed seams. Can you see them? Can your print provider do this for you? There are important advantages to products printed with the dye sublimation process. Since the polyester fibers open up at high temperatures allowing the gas (formerly the ink) to sublimate into them, the fibers actually become the color. Consequently, the image can be washed or ironed just like your clothing. Secondly, running the inks through a heat press makes the colors really pop! Thirdly, since fabric is much lighter and can be folded without issue, the shipping package ends up being much smaller and lighter than if it were printed vinyl. This significantly reduces shipping costs.
Because we have the unique ability to heatseal fabric panels together, we can offer very large fabric banners & flags. Most printers are limited by the width of their printers. This is a significant competitive advantage over most other print suppliers. Note the 20ft x 45ft fabric banner shown. The 9 heatsealed seams are vertical. Because this banner was backlit, you can see the 1 inch overlap where the seams are located. When not backlit, the seams (normally horizontal) are very inconspicuous. Contact us for a quote today!
