All of our flags are dye sublimated on an outdoor fabric. The life expectancy of flags can vary significantly based on several factors. First and foremost is "mother nature". Heavy winds will cause the unattached end of the flag to "whip" which serves to essentially beat itself up. The intensity and duration of these winds will reduce the longevity of the flag. The sun and rain also serve to degrade the fabric while at the same time fading the image. We recommend taking flags in at night and during stormy weather. If this procedure is followed, you can expect a flag to last six months to a year or longer.
As the photo on this page illustrates, our custom "open flags" are cut at a 45 degree angle so that the image can be read whether or not the wind is blowing. They can be ordered as one piece of fabric or two sewn back-to-back with a liner. If you look closely, you can see that this "open flag" has a "flag rider" attached using velcro sewn across the bottom of the flag. This option is a low cost way for your customers to communicate short messages inexpensively to their community. The message opportunities are endless! Contact us for both the "open flag" and "flag rider" design templates. We sell the "non-furling" hardware as well!
Custom flags can be ordered with printing on one piece of fabric which shows through to the backside offering a mirror image that reads reverse on the backside (a traditional flag). Though the image on the backside is somewhat less colorful, it cannot really be detected when displayed outdoors. Our flags can also be printed on two separate pieces of fabric and sewn together back-to-back with an opaque liner in the middle. These read properly from both sides. However it takes much more wind to get them to fly like the one piece flag does.
We also offer "Teardrop" and tall "Feather Flags" in either one piece or two pieces sewn back-to-back. These can be ordered with all the necessary hardware to deploy and display them. Contact us for a design template today.
We also offer boulevard banners using this sublimated flag fabric.
